UTEC has full AV capacity in all of our rental spaces. This includes projectors, microphones, surround sound, and wall-mounted monitors. In the Main Function Hall, there is also a 20-foot drop-down screen. We have a multi-channel soundboard and theater lighting, as well as staff to run all of the above equipment. While additional fees apply for AV, sound, and lighting equipment rental and staffing in the Main Hall, this eliminates the need for shopping elsewhere for this equipment. And of course, no delivery fees!
In addition to everything mentioned above, including event furnishings, sound and lighting equipment, and AV capacity in every room, UTEC offers even more. We'd love to offer a green building tour as part of the evening, UTEC welcome and program overview (given by staff and/or program participants), energizer or team-building activity, or breakdancing performance. The Main Function Hall is perfect for concerts, film releases, lectures, tradeshows, and dinners with up to 300 guests (more for standing events). Looking for a smaller space? Our cafe and indoor courtyard combined make an ideal setting for an evening cocktail party or weekend brunch. With two buildings, three floors and five unique spaces, we can customize a rental package for any event.
UTEC's Event Facility offers the perfect mix of historic and modern, all under one (solar-paneled) roof. The original church was built in 1839, with a major renovation and addition in 2012 earning it the title of "World's Oldest Green Building." Anyone who appreciates architecture, sustainable design, historical details, and innovative spaces will be wowed by this unique venue.
